Happy April 1st

Just wanted to be the first to wish you a happy April - maybe winter is over.

Winter is definitely over by me. We have had 70 degree days for the past week and the trees and flowers are blooming. Our big concern right now is no rain and the area is dry. We have had breazy days so this drys things out even worse and there has been quite a few brush fires and some have been quite large. Around here we set the all time mark for the driest March on record. with .6" of rain. I just hope the spring and summer are not like this. Last year our summers was hot and dry and it took out just about everyones lawns including mine. If people don't believe there is climate changing going on just come to the east coast.

So Happy April Fool's Day and not sure where this all happens but if you are in the change the clock time zone do not forget tonight so that you can lose an hour of precious sleep. Spring Ahead!!!!!!!!!! :mad:

Happy Aprils 1 to you too.... I can hardly wait for spring, as soon as the lakes open up, I will be out of my shop and into the lake fly fishing... I can hardly wait. But... with snow still covering my lawn, there will be lots of time yet to finish up my projects in the shop.

I second what John T said, we had .2" of rain in March and we are currently under a fire watch for the state (except Cape Cod and the Islands). We hit 70 degrees yesterday with 25 to 30 mile an hour winds. We were supposed to have a shower today and we did. Only problem was, you could count the drops. The weather folk promise more showers for Monday night, we'll see!!! We had 2 billable snow storms this season which doesn't make for too good of a "landscaping winter". Hopefully the grass will grow and the machines will run.

Hope you all have your spring projects ready to go and go to bed early to make up for that lost hour.

Happy April to everyone,
We have not had much winter down here maybe 3 or 4 freezes.
I didnt realize the extent of the drought was so widespread all over the country we have not had any measurable rain since November I hope we all get some before summer.

Spring is here in Indiana, we had tornados last night and my wife and I were out in it. Scary trip home, but we made it OK.
