A word of Courtesy

I have seen lately there have been a few posts that have been advertisments for products. Now I am not going to go off and tell you not to do this but would like to give you people a few facts. This site is set up for exchange of ideas and questions. We are a small group that like to talk woodworking. We are not a billboard !!! We have people from all parts of the world looking in and even though most do not get involved with the posting but maybe looking in to get info none the less. If a topic leads to you wanting to post a link to your site then that is understandable but to come to the site and list web sites will not be allowed.

If you are going to continue to put up web sites that sell items and not be a participant here we do not want you. like I said this is not what we are about. I will give people the benefit of the doubt. But the thing is if you are going to put up a web site list it under the "Classified " forum on this page. Just scroll down a little bit more. One more thing, this site is run by Steebar and this is their site. There is a link all over the pages to get to their Home Page. Now if you come here and list your web site it is only fair you put a link on your site that gets back to the Steebar site. Don't you think that is fair.???? Thanks for reading and mean no disrespect to anyone.

Thanks for pointing that out, I was starting to feel that this forum was becoming more commercial, which isnt somthing that I want to see happen to it.

John, thank you for the clarification, it is very helpful. We agree with you 100 % this site is a great place for woodworkers to receive or give helpful information in regards to woodworking that they are involved in.
My wife and I do like some of the art work from other countries and showed a interest in a recent web site that was posted. John if we went beyond the guide lines of this forum we certainly apologize.
I do want to stay part of this site it has been very helpful to me and know it will continue to do so in the future.

You have nothing to be sorry for. I am glad you were able to get some valuable info out of the web site. Like I mentioned I am not going to go through a riot act about the postings but just wanted people who do this to be aware of what we are about here. I only wish we had more people like you and your wife who come to the site seeking info and giving freely of their knowledge. This is what this site is about and want to keep it this way. When we get people as those referenced we never hear from them again and they got what they wanted. Not fair to all of us. I just want to thank all for understanding where I am coming from.
