Well let me be the first to say you outdid yourself again. The ideas and concepts are mindboggling. Job well done. I assume the openings are closed until the "Grand Opening" There will be a ribbon cutting ceromony and all. I have a picture of a woodpecker pecking his way through the ribbon, in my mind. :) I have seen photos of your place where you set these up and this should be a great addition. Nice work.

That is definitely not a bird house.

It looks more like a bird hotel or condominium.

Fantastic. Is this a ground sitter, an elevated sitter or a pole sitter?????

Thank you John and Fred
I always drill the holes last because the birds try to get into them before i get them off the ground.
this birdhouse will be mounted 8 or 9 ft in the air on a single post.
It only weighs about 220-250 lbs. The hardest part is digging a hole 5 ft down by hand.
i have had 2 newspapers do a story on them so far.
i got this wood from my fire pit

Thanks again gentlemen.

Say what??????

I think "post" is an understatement. When I think "post" I think landscape timmer or something of that sort. 220-250 lbs.??? Gotta see this one (with you in the picture to scale it. gotta see it
