It started out as a big chunk of heavily spalted wood that a friend gave me. Don't know what it is but I suspect horse chestnut. When I went at it with the bandsaw I found very few useable parts and it came down to this and some small pieces that might make some nice pens and bottle stoppers etc.
I call it a whatchamacallit because I am not sure what this particular form should be called. Is is a hollow form, or a bowl, or a dish or something else. Or maybe a combination of terms would fit it.
