comic sans hi everyone, I am new to this forum and I am trying to find out about this mail order woodcrafts that my mother use to send away for. I know that they were little kit like things that she use to get and put together, I remember one thing it was a flowerpot made of clothespins I am not sure if that is what she bought from there, but I know that she used to get these woodcraft kits .. does anyone have any idea what i am talking about? Please let me know. I am not sure even if i will know that I have a reply or not , I am new and dont know how this really works yet. Thanks alot, I dont know why its not typing in comic sans like I specified either, do you have to pay for this to enable the different fonts and stuff like that?

You'll notice on the font drop down list there are only certain fonts available - comic sans isn't one of them because it is not a standard browser font.

It would look very strange on certain computers.

There are no special features on this site that are 'pay only'. Everything is free....

Thanks,

Dean

thanks, I also wanted to know about the mail order woodworking kits that I talked about too. Do you know what it was, I tried to remember but I just can't and my mother is passed away. I really liked it and would love to find out what and where I could get something like that. I know that it was through the mail but dont have a clue where to look to try and find the club that she belonged to. Would appreciate any feedback. Thanks and I hope that I posted this right. :o

Hi. Go to your local library first. Ask the librarian to help you find the section of books that contain the types of projects that you are interested in making. If you can't find anything there, try a good book store and again ask for some help in finding some sources. Another idea is to use the computer and get this site,
www.google.com then type in the search box "clothespin craft projects". it will take you a little time to go through all the sites brought up, but you will most likely find something of use. I use google a lot, and the more you use it the faster you can eliminate
or find what you are looking for. Just a few ways that I use to get info and most of it for just the time and no money. Some crafts you can make just by the pictures supplied, and your own ideas. good luck, Trent

I remember those kits & all the fun I had as a kid building them. Everything needed to complete each kit was supplied - wood, glue, paint, brushes, etc. I think they arrived once a month.

I found this site on the WEB with similar items. (Designed for young girls)

Hope this helps.

I ran across a couple of web sites that might have what you're looking for:

Kids Wood Craft Kits (http://http://www.brandine.com/o_catalog1.htm)

The Craft Shop (http://www.thecraftshoponline.com/WoodCraftsIndex.asp)

Practical Gifts Craft Kits (http://www.practicalgiftbysusy.com/craft_kits2.htm)

While they're not kits I found quite a few sites that have plans for various craft items by doing a search on Google for:

"clothespin crafts" (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=%22clothespin+crafts%22&spell=1)

and:

"popsicle stick crafts" (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=%22popsicle+stick+crafts%22)

Hope this helps and gives you some ideas.

quick hint on most search engines, use " before+after" gives a lot more hits that you can use.. exact pharse.. before+after, gives both words, "before+after" -(new,old) will give exact pharse on sites not including the words new or after..
