Hi again everyone
Here is my latest birdhouse.
This one is made from 60 yr old reclaimed cedar barn wood. i had to scrap off racoon dung and pull the nails before i could run it through the planer.
It is 48"x 40" x 36" high.

Nice work as always. Just a friendly note you are posting this under the wrong heading. If I had the ability I would move it for you . This should be posted under Wood Crafts General. This thread is for questions regarding the use of this forum. It is not a general woodworking forum.

Wow - I didn't know that racoon scat was so hard after drying. Will put that in my memory banks.

Great bird condos

Awesome House or should I say CONDO. Some birds are gonna have nice digs soon :D . I've heard the droppings are almost as bad as rodent scatt.Like John said the dust is even worse. Hope to see more of your stuff, I'm starting some houses and feeders in my crafts line, gotta pick your brain for help.

Awesome, well done, beautiful and unique. As backyard birders ourselves, I can fully appreciate how much your birds must appreciate your endeavours.
Great houses you have there, you should be proud.

What kind of birds nest in the multi-family dwellings? :)
Do you get any that nest in the houses for protection in the winter? We have a lot of dense shrubs and our birds nest in them at night and in bad weather in winter. I know they like to huddle together.

Thank you Joann
i get all kinds of different birds but mostly swallows and sparrows are nesting in them. i have been doing some reading so i am trying different size holes to see if that helps.
thanks again
john.
