Craft Fair Report

The Main Street of my town had a craft fair over the weekend.

Decent turnout, great weather.

Received many compliments.

The simplest baskets sold, and so did the crosses.

But, overall, it was slow.
$204 over 2 days.

I was hoping for $500 - $600.

I spoke with the other vendors and they said it was slow too.

Oh well.

Don't be discouraged. I've been doing craft fairs for over 15 years and this year ranks right up with the worst! So far I have done 6 shows and every one of them has netted about 40% of the average for sales from past years.

The next three weekends will hit the height of foliage season here in Vermont and I'm hoping for a turnaround so I can make my fuel bill for the winter, but I won't hold out a great deal of expectations!
