Favorite finish

Since I am fairly new to scroll sawing, what do you reccomend for finishing your projects? I am using BLO (Boiled Lindseed Oil) 50% with thinner. Are there other better finishes?

It really depends on the wood you are using, the type of detail of the cutting, etc. On some solid wood pieces that are detail or intricate in the cutting, I use spray, high gloss lacquer. On others, I will dip the piece, or submerge it in a shallow container of tung oil, or linseed oil, cut with thinner.
