Did the photo show in a preview? If it did then it should be here.
This site has some weird quirks when it comes to posting photos. Sometimes it wants them posted one way and sometimes another and sometimes it will only post a link to the photo no matter what you do. Sometimes trying it on another day helps.

Bob
I welcomed you to the site in the new member section but again would like to extend a hearty welcome. Now if you uploaded a picture in the photo gallery it must be approved by the web master and he does not work on the weekends. He will get around to it for this site is not the most well looked after site but it works. Now if you tried to post a photo in a message there must be the IMG button in the on position in that forum. To know this you will see a small icon that is yellow and it looks like a portrait of a mountain scene just under the area where it says size of font and color. If that symbol is not there you can not post a photo in that message board. There are a few of them throughout this site. But if it is there by all means post away because we like photos. The only thing I ask is keep the photo to a decent size so it does not stretch out the message area for us dial up guys this takes awhile to load. Thanks and again welcome.

Like John said, sroll down to posting rules. The IMG is off, that means you can not post a picture. I had the same problem, till John explained it to me.
That was one time I had trouble posting a picture.
This site has some weird quirks when it comes to posting photos.. If you know what you are doing there are no quirks as far as I am concerned.

Hi John.
Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't realize that he was trying to post into the gallery and that it required administrators approval.
I thought he was trying to post a picture into a message and was having the same problems as Mike M was having recently when I posted a picture for him on his birthday wishes topic. There was no problem posting pictures in that particular board.

Mike and Bill you both are correct in the quirks about posting photos. All sites have their quirks just like all saws. Why all forums on this site do not have the IMG thing engaged goes back to when Dean was the web master. I won't go into it but I think I have explained what to look for when trying to post a photo. We are not like other sites where they do not allow photos in fact we encourage them. As they say a picture is worth 1000 words. Just simple courteousy is asked that is all.
Mike I am glad I was able to help with your posting problems too. :)

Thanks John. You are not alone with your thoughts that all boards have some sort of a quirk in one form or another and even my own site is no exception..
You mentioned
To know this you will see a small icon that is yellow and it looks like a portrait of a mountain scene just under the area where it says size of font and color. If that symbol is not there you can not post a photo in that message board. There are a few of them throughout this site. But if it is there by all means post away because we like photos. .
Where you said *there are a few of them throughout the site* , do you know which ones they are ? ?. It would be nice to make a notation of the boards that won't accept picture posting. It would prevent us from typing a whole message on a particular board with the intentions of following the message with a photo only to find out that the particular board will not accept photos.
Hope this isn't asking too much but if you could supply a list of the boards that do not allow photos then I for one would make a posty note of it and keep it handy so I wouldn't have to find at the end of a messaage that it won't accept a photo. Then any time I responded to a message in those particular boards I could refrain from building my message around something I wanted to show with a photo attached..
Cheers.

Bill
I would do that but do not think that would help people. Just remember to look for the little photo frame when you click reply and if it is not there then no pictures can be loaded there. only links. Unfortunately this is one of those sites. But click the link and you will see the symbol.

I have tried to post the same picture on two different days and it still won't show up. It did show up in the preview window to. However, when I go to look at it I just get that X in the upper corner. I tried right clicking and hitting Show Picture but it didn't work either.
If you have any other ways I should try please let me know.
Other wise I am trying to use this site to post some of my work.
Please let me know if anyone can see the pic I put there.
