Just trying out this Gold Top European pen kit for the first time. I am pleased with the appearance of this particular kit.
I have adopted the bronze swirl one as my own pen until such time as someone decides that is the one they want and buys it right out of my shirt pocket :)

I sure like those round blanks better than the square ones . They save a lot of turning time and start off cutting smooth instead of having to cut all the corners off to make round ones from square ones.
Here are the blanks for those two pens with the brass tubes glued in before putting them on the lathe.

Bill,
What do you charge for a pen like those? I need a pen that is very different that way if someone takes it off my desk or I leave it some where it will be very easy to find because it different then any pen around.

Great Job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Thanks

Thanks Dave.
I was beginning to wonder if anyone was interested in the turning boards on this site.

I see all kinds of reports in my own site as well as others where people are getting $79.00 and more for those pens. I personally find that hard to believe at least on a regular basis but perhaps in the right location it could be possible.
I am very happy to get $39.00 each for those high quality pens. Even at that it is no problem to clear $30.00 per hour and there are very few woodworking projects that I have done before getting into turning that gives me that kind of return on my investment in time and material.
