This morning I started my first stack-cutting of the new year. 1/4" baltic birch stacked 4 high. After the first few cuts I started having trouble getting the end of the blade up through the 1/16" hole through all layers.
After saying "golly, shucks, @#$%" a few times, the light came on - why not round over the top of the blade (duhhhhhhhhh).
So, I took my mighty little Dremel (which had a flapper already mounted) and lightly rounded over the top, sharp edges of the blade.
Wow - what a difference - blade slips right through the whole without getting hung up on any layers.
Have never seen this trick discussed and just thought I would share my redneck "fix". :) :D
Have any of you tried this trick?????
