Well, I've been out of college for about 2 years now (yup I'm a youngin) and my interest in woodworking has grown to a fevered pitch lately. I've been saving up some change to purchase the nessessary equipment. I'de like to start out with jewelry/music boxes and other small stuff, then work my way up to desks and chairs. I took a woodworking class all 4 yrs of high school and loved every min of it. I just hope I can get half the ideas floating around in my head to come together. Soo many things you can do with wood....so little time.

All right man - way to go. I taught woodworking for 21 years as a shop teacher, and loved every minute of it. I sure do miss the good equipment that was available to me when I taught. I am using much cheaper stuff now. It speaks well of your shop teacher for you to be interested in woodworking now. Great.
Take care of your tools, keep them sharp, and look forward to many years of real pleasure. Dan
