I know not many turners show up here but thought I would post this question here in case I get lucky. I have a jet midi lathe and it does not have an indexing wheel and I want to drill some precise holes even spaced on some turning pieces. I have seen this done with pens and bottlestoppers and urns. Then they were filled with different medium. I was wondering is there another method I can use or can an indexing wheel be attached to my lathe??? Thanks in advance.

This is the only source that I know of. Plastic, but works well. I bought one a few months ago. I think it now has been mentioned in an article in Woodturning Design magazine. Of course you could just make one to be proud of, but this is cheap and very comprehensive (lots of combinations) yet simple to use. Buy one and use your time and skills using it rather than making one that will probably not have as many combinations. You're welcom, glad to help twoodsmith, woodtsmith, terry

Thanks Terry. I was looking at them and since I last posted that request I have hooked onto a guy who makes them and will have them shortly.

Terry,
This is just another example of the value of checking the posts regularly. I found a supplier for a handy tool that is right here in the state, even if it is 200 miles away and on the other side of the mountains (the green side as opposed to my side in the desert). I ordered one for my Delta lathe yesterday. Have used them in conjunction with my metal machining but didn't have one for the wood lathe. Thanks for the source.
