I have just been informed, via Admin, that I am the winner of a $50 gift certificate from Steebar.com !!
Anybody who has been around awhile here knows how our family got hit very hard back in spring. We suffered 2 tornados, a week apart. Lost my workshop and almost all but the simplest tools due to fire. Money has been tight ! If not for our site here, there wouldn't be much of any income coming in. I got plenty of wood though (thanks to mother nature).
Our Steebar component clocks have done well for us in the past and we will continue to utilize them as they are a reliable source. Always on the look-out for a 'good' used sander, lathe, etc so I can get back into doing what I love. This prize has really lifted our spirits - something to be thankful for.
I just wanted to thank all of you out there for the words of encouragement and the advice over the months. A special thanks to the site Admin and STEEBAR.com for all their patience and hard work over this past year.
Thank You all from Stephen & Carol Day:D

Thanks for the kind words.
Sydney !! I remember that city as a city of parks and lawn bowling. Of course, that was in the 69-70 time frame. While in Vietnam, I took both R&Rs in Australia. Loved the people and the city. Wish I could return.
Thanks again............:D

Glad you won the prize. Hope you don't get two many headakes trying to decide what is the most needed with that prize. Its great to see a company like Steebar doing so many things for people in the craft, even if they are not customers. I take it this is a sign that things are looking up for you and know that you also hope that's true. Again, Congradulations Dan

Thanks for the kind words Dan ! I have to agree, Steebar is an amazing company. (JOHN STTEBAR if you are there...THANKS AGAIN!).
Not many companies would bother, this one does. Now, if somebody comes up with a $50 lathe, I'll be on hog heaven.
Anyway, thanks again. Wife and I are trying to see the light. This was an uplifting experience and we appreciate it and will remember it. I wish you ALL well.

HI FOLKS Extremely glad to hear you won a prize. Its also great that you are now getting things back together after your disasters early this year.
The main thing to remember,as you said at the time,is that neither of you were physically hurt. Everything else can be replaced in time.
Its terrific that you were able to keep up the website during this period,As i think you do terrific quality work.
all the best

Thanks John ! Glad to be hearing from you. Has been awhile. Yes the website is doing well.....hitwise. As most of the advertising is done local, I get quite a few emails and calls here at home. people look at the website and get ideas.....I try and make their ideas come alive. Lately, I have been doing alot of jewelry (because of limited tools and space). I have several contracts to provide bridesmaid with matching jewelry, which has really bolstered our business. I have even been able to provide some beautiful multi-wood coasters for the table decorations. I hope this is a good beginning. We have learned noe thing.........when it looks the blackest...........even a candle looks like the sun. So everybody visit my Daydreams store and purchase that piece of jewelry for the wife or daughter !! (Sorry, couldn't resist the plug)
If you see something................email me and we can negotiate a price and shipping..........my present from me to you. Give us a try.

Stephen
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
Been to ur web site - great stuff. Have a site also but can't seem to sell anything from it. I have found the same thing. Lots of hits but very few sales. Heard somewhere that if I get 10% visits turning into sales I would be doing good. At less than 1%, it seems to be in the "awful" category. I'm wondering if some other "auction" or "store front" sites do better.
Please take a look at my site and advise.
Thanks
fred
