Im just finishing my latest project. Its a pattern I bought from one of my scroll saw pattern suppliers. I decided to enhance the look by woodburning some of the vines and leaves that were cut out from scroll sawing. It really turned out fantastic. I only shaded the vines and leaves instead of the whole thing. The contrast it made turned out realy nice. But the process was very time consuming. I supose as I get more preficient with my wood burner it wont take as long. It was fun, and the extra time it took for wood burning made it all worth while.
Ill attach a photo, but its still not complete. I still have to order the clock and the pendulam.
Take care,
Enjoy.....
Randy.

Hi Randy, your clock looks great!
I don't know anything about clock making or scrolling, but I do love woodburning. Thanks for showing the picture!

HI RANDY

I have just had a look at your picture. It looks great. You are dead right, the pyrography provides a great contrast.
I also love pyrography, and like you, I prefer to use the pyrography to highlight or provide a contrast, rather than do the whole piece.

Thats a cop out really, because I am not good enough yet, to do some of the masterpieces you see in pyrography.
Still, i learn something new with each piece of work i do

cheers:)
