View Full Version : slim line pencils
We are new to pen and pencil turning. When we make a pencil, the top of the pencil holding the clip will slide out when we take it out of the holder. It is as if hole is too big. I don't know if I am describing the problem right but can someone tell me how to fix it? Our pens always come out great. Thanks

I see this is your very first post so let me be the first to welcome you to our little site. You should be able to get answers to all your questions. Now I being a newbie myself to pen turning I probably can not answer you properly but my suggestion is to epoxy it or CA glue it.
You say your pens come out great and we would love to see some. You can post them in the message board or start a gallery of your own. We love pictures here. They are our eye candy. Again welcome and hope you look around our great site. :)

Gap filling CA glue works fine, just be sure to put the drop inside the barrel instead of on the nib so you don't smear up a perfectly good job of wood turning.
Thanks guys, we will try that. Kacy :)
