That is very nice. Free form and flowing. Abstract wood sculpture. I like that. More of that and you will be in business. Is each clock alike or are you varying the design a little between clocks? Congratulations Dan

I wanted to design something that was appealing to the eye so what i wanted to do is make the pendulum come super close, less then 1/8" from the sides so i figured out all the measurements and made it happen, came out perfect. Everyone has to come by and make sure its not hitting the sides which seems to be the major attraction so my little idea worked i guess, all items are on display on my newly renovated website - Winfield

Very nice work. you should be very proud of this.

As far as selling the first to pay for the stuff to make the next few, that is such a great feeling.

Keep up the great work and keep us posted on your next design

Winfield,

That clock looks super! I've got some 2" thick Rosewood waiting on me that would be perfect to try something like that with. I hope I won't make you made if I shamelessly rip you off.:o

Did you cut the shape with a bandsaw or something else?

Thanks,

Very nice job. It is a beauty. I love the color texture and form. Have not seen one like it. I do mostly fret clocks, but enjoy seeing the free forms.:)

Hi everyone
I just would like to let every one in on a new clock. A friend of mine, who is in wood working, has asked me to make him a custom clock.
We are corroberating on the design. He is in our scroll saw Club(DIXIE WOOD SCROLLERS) and he designs and builds toys that are strong enough to be played with, but does not want to make a clock.
It will be a mantal clock. I will try and put a pic in the gallary when it is completed for comments.

Happy sawing.:)

Happy Sawing:)

Didn't notice what kind of wood you used. Or what finish you used. Just nosey.

Great job on the project.

Hey Pops, I used Mahogany, not sure which one, maybe african. It was the thickest piece i could find at the woodworkers club :) I'd like to make another one using Walnut, maybe that will be my next project :)

Nice to see you stop by with your latest creation. Job well done. Like the choice of wood. Walnut is such a richy looking wood.
