Attaching Patterns

I'm new to this forum so I'm still learning all the ropes. I'm a seasoned wood butcher that's starting to do production scroll sawing. Here's a less messy way of attaching patterns that has an additional benefit of yielding a tracing template. Istead of using spray adhesives with all the overspray, what I do now is apply the adhesive in stick form available in all craft stores. After I've applied clear tape directly to the surface I wish to cut, applying stick adhesive on the back of the pattern, I now attach the pattern on top of clear taped piece followed with another application of clear tape on top. After cutting, I not only can remove the pattern easily and cleanly, but I have the bonus of getting a tracing template.
