I see the last post in this area was 2006, did all the SS people move or quit using this forum.

I recently purchased a 510 SS and intend to do some turning with it as soon as I acquire the extra tools I want, speed reducer, baracudda chuck or a 3/4 X 16 adapter to fit the scroll chuck I now have would be better, pen mandrel etc...., almost have to spend what I paid for the SS.

Really like the SS when it comes to woodworking, no it may not suit everyone because of the changes to use different tools but each time I want to use the band saw or belt sander I can relate to how much more it would have cost to have a stand alone and then where the would I put it in a one car :D garage!

If any of the SS users still use this forum get active!

It is probably so slow due to members not wanting to wade through all the spam and porn messages that keep appearing. The administrator has been working on it for some time to try to control it.
Also , I find a lot of messages come up as *Page can't be displayed* so I have to refresh my browser and have to start over again. This is very aggravating when replying to a message or answering a PM and have to type it several times in order to clear the glitch.
I have got in the habit of copying a message before sending it so if the *Page can't be displayed* notice comes up I can refresh the site and paste it as a new message and try again. Generally about three tries does the trick.

Williiam,
I can understand that, nothing puts me off more than to go to a site with porn and spam, maybe that is why I haven't been visiting this site in awhile!

At least I kept it listed in my favorites, then too maybe all of the SS people are busy making sawdust or just polishing their equipment :D

Polishing is not a favorite passtime of mine so I may not fit in too well with the SS people either, I'll clean it when it needs it but guaranteed it better learn to get used to saw dust too!
