I think I have caused a problem. At least a problem for me. I went to Dan's Do'ings and only found three photos. There are 17 (18 counting the one I just loaded - I think) there somewhere but they don't show up in my album. Nor do they show up in the general collections. The last five I uploaded seemed to do just fine, I got the emails this a.m. but when I follow the url to the site, for the first one I get them all, for the second one I just get three.

This is the site where I find them all. Haven't seen anything about the one I just uploaded - Deer - file name MVC-119S.
Also, those I thought were gone in the change are still there so I have some duplicates.

This is the one where I only get the three.
Tell me what I am supposed to do or help me correct the mess I seem to have made of this.

I went to your gallery and found 17, but only after I typed in your name and got your thumbnails.

This is a problem I created when I first set it up by allowing users to create their own personal photo albums.

What most folks don't realize is that when you upload to one of the main directories the system automatically creates a personal photo album for you. What Dan ended up with were 2 personal albums.

I think the cleanest way to operate is to upload to one of the main albums and let the system create your own personal album, however, it is kind of interesting to be able to create your own album name.

I moved all your photos to 'Dan's Do'ings' and re-optimized the database. See if it works as expected now.

Thanks,
Dean

Will everything work as it should if I just use the defaults when I upload?? The one default that I would like to change would be the one where you indicate if you want email - it says no as a default and I want to always remember to change it to yes, unless the program automatically tells me when someone has placed a comment.

Thanks Dean for the clean-up. I don't mind the same photo showing up more than once but if you want to clean out any duplicates, do so. Or tell me how I should do so. Hi

Glad that it is working, will try to learn to use it properly so I don't cause you more work.

Dan

Ron, how did you know to do that, I thought I tried everything.

You're not causing more work - and I'm not sure there is a 'proper' way to use it. I'd say do what makes the most sense to you and we'll figure out how to work with it. I think I'm probably the one that messed it up by not having enough initial categories.

So...

I added a few new categories. If anyone has more suggestions let me know and I'll add them also.

Thanks,
Dean
