I just picked up a Milwaukee Tools router at a yard sale for a great price. I had a Craftsman but it siezed up. This new router works great and I want to use it on my router table, but it has a 4 hole pattern for mounting and my table doesn't have that pattern. My Craftsman had a 3 hole pattern. I've tried to find some info for adaptor plates on the web and the only thing I see is a plate for $75. I bought the router for $30! Any ideas or suggestions from anyone? The table top is a heavy plastic material, would I be better off just drilling my own holes?
Thanks,
Ray

There is no reason you can't drill your own holes to mount the router. The big thing that can be of importance if you care is the center hole and being able to accept an inlaying bushing kit and the bit is in the dead center of this. One other thing to consider is that the old plate is stiff enough to support the weight of the new router. Not sure if the new router weighs more. Don't want to have the plate flexing under use.

Thanks John. I'm going to drill my own holes. The table is sturdy enough, I don't think that will be the problem. Getting the bit at dead center will be the challenge. Thanks again.
