Hello; Every year I get an invite to do a craft show at a local Church.
A lot of people stop at the table, window shop, have nice comments, and move on.Do not really sell much. It's good for the Church. It almost seems a waste of time to just sit around and wait, almost depressing.
I was thinking of just gathering up items in the 1,2,3 dollar price range, older items, stuff that didn't sell recently, and even come up with a few simple items.
I am barking up the wrong tree with this?
Appreciate any comments...
Bob

I would not go again.
Had a few like that over the years. I stayed away from shows like that. Never missed them.

As you know some craft shows are just not predictable. Is this a show that is a much publicised show??? Or are these just people of the church??? You may want to include alot of religious items along with lesser priced items. I have done shows that the attendance was down but the buyers were many and I have also seen it the other way. You have to ask yourself do you enjoy the show and like mingling with the people??? Or do you just want to sell well?? Only you can answer those questions because you see it first hand. It is always good to have lesser priced items to lure people in. Good luck with whatever decosion you make.

I try to have a number of clearance items at reduced prices........
The next big show is the 1st weekend of November...
I will have an assortment of Xmas ornaments that I cut out of odds and ends... I do not finish these and sell them for $1 - $3 each... I have picked up $100 plus at some shows.
Again I will say.... try to get in the same spot if it is a big and annual show and always try to add new items to your inventory
