Interesting little article. Thanks for sharing Fred. It would be nice to hear from our members who have done some shows this year or are planing on some. What are your findings and are you doing anything different to compensate for the shortfall of the economy. Or maybe you have not noticed a difference at all???

My overall sales are down about 30% this year. Still making 10 times booth fee but not as good as last year. We have another show next weekend and I'll know for sure then.
Compensate? None really - raised my prices on a few pieces (and sold them at the increased price) :)
We'll see
obtw - have a buyer for my Shopiere Clock

I havnt done the shows. My Aunt does with Ferret stuff. This year has been aweful for her. I did some things for her with a ferret or pet theme to it. She said that everybody loved them. Just no one was buying anything. She sold 2 pens (out of 20), one pocket watch (out of 5), and one picture necklace (out of 4). These were to other vendors! Go figure! As of now I am not going to do the shows. Just orders. The funny thing is....I sell more just using my pens. The other day i was at a pub having dinner and decided that i wanted to throw some darts. took out mine that i turned. sold 6 sets in about half an hour! Its kinda funny in a way.
