I am working on the Irish Grover clock for a friend of mine... anniversary present for his wife.
Does anyone know if there are Swiss or other high quality inserts of various sizes. I did a search on the internet and did not find much
Thanks for the help

Very nice clock if you are talking about the Grover Irish clock. I made a couple of those quite a few years ago. I wish I had taken pictures but I sold them quite quickly. A little suggestion when cutting the back out make it as large as you can so you do not see the cut through the front but you are able to reach your hand in there. I put hinges on the door and a magnet to hold close. The movement I used and is the best sounding movement in the quartz, I want to say low end but they are really not, is the #2653 movement from Wildwood. It has so many features and is true sounding. They are the cheapest price around. You can go for movements that are made for Grandfather clocks and Mantle clocks but cost is way more than what the clock is worth. Used the glass bezel. Made one with Roman numerals and one with Arabic. Both sold easily and am planning of doing them again.

I put a Wildwood #2640 in the Dome Clock and my customer really loves it. With the chime block mounted directly to the front panel, the sound is amplified by the wooden sounding board.
Again, this is just my humble opinion and should not be taken as a professional opinion.
