Powerhead lock

I have a Mark V that was manufactured in the mid 80's. The power head rail lock doesn't lock tight. Is there an adjustment to remedy this? Thanks

I have a Shopsmith and the rail lock should not be tighten to much....Clean the rail so the head stock moves easly....you might take off the cover ( the red round one at the side ) and check if saw dust is building up in that area.....blow it out with a air hose if you have one....and a look see while you loosen and tighten it.....I had that problem years ago until I found out it need not be tighten to tight......Also check out the manual and you will see just how it works....But first unplug the machine.....
