Hello all! This is my first post to this forum. It looks like lots of talent and creativity reside here, and that's what brought me in.

My delimma is this:

I need a source where I can purchase solid, exotic woods, such as Teak, in slabs at least 16 inches wide (do Teak trees even grow that big?) for resawing into approximately 1/4" thick panels to be bent for special projects. The overall size of the panel would be approximately 16" x 24".

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks....

Haz

If ya don't know, at least post some links to other sites and/or forums that may be of assistance.

Well, I typed TEAK LUMBER into 'search' using Yahoo and it came up with 12000 web locations for buying teak lumber. I looked through the first 20, some wholesale and some retail and 16" stuff may be hard to get. you might try this place first.

Thanks Ron!! I will surely give that a try....what I am trying to rebuild still has not been sent to me, so I am just assuming it's teak or some other exotic lumber....I searched google and other engines but sometimes I fail to use the KISS system......doh!!

Thanks again......:)
