I was :D to visit a new exhibit at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto. They've gone thru expansion phase and opened a series of new galleries. What caught my interest (among others) was the showstopper was a replica of a Chinese Temple that one would find in the Forbidden City in Beijing. They used traditional methods and materials and actually brought woodworkers over from a Chinese museum to do the work.

IMHO woodworking craftsmanship is overlooked by museums and galleries when they set up their exhibits. What was really :cool: is this is the second time the piece with the biggest crowd was a demonstration of this craft.
Earlier at the Catherine the Great exhibit it wasn't her paintings or sculptures it was the Romanov Royal Coach that had people in awe. There's a pic of it here:
