I understand how you did the center band but how the heck did you do the top ! If you did what I think you did it must have been tedious work !!!!

I chucked the white corian blank in a talon chuck and once I had it running true, I turned an 1/8" tenon on the end then turned the top shape and parted it. Sanding and polishing were done on a small bench top belt sander and then by hand with a diamond file and sandpaper. I'm afraid the shape morphed during that procedure. A little plastice polish and done.
